NRA First Steps Pistol: Course Time 4 Hours $149.00
NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is approximately 4 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
NRA Basic Pistol: Course Time 8 Hours $189.00
This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
Intro to Defensive Pistol: Course Time 8 Hours $200.00
This full day NJDFT course takes off where the NRA Basic Pistol ends. Students will review the rules and practices for safe firearms handling, perform marksmanship development exercises, loading & unloading drills, Magazine change drills, trigger control drills, stances & shooting positions, intro to stoppage drills, drawing and re-holstering techniques and much more. This course will lay the groundwork for the student’s solid fundamental foundation.
Defensive Pistol: Course Time 8 Hours
This course will test and evaluate the student’s progress and expand on what has already been learned. Students will review and practice the material learned from Defensive Pistol, and take the next leap in your training. you will increase proficiency in magazine changes and stoppage drills, drawing and firing from concealed and non concealed holsters, learning and shooting from cover vs. concealment, learn advanced shooting positions, legalities and responsibilities, learning point vs. precision shooting and much more. The final exam will be the Police handgun qualifications course.
Security Officer and Civilian Qualifications: $50.00
Annual Course of fire Qualifications required for Armed Security Personnel in Handgun and or Shotgun.
Civilian qualifications are strictly voluntary and are offered to test your progress and skills.
Security Officer Handgun Refresher: Course Time 4 hours $149.00
This course revisits the fundamentals in your firearms training. Includes review of safe handling, identifies bad habits, practice drawing and firing from concealed and duty holster, review of shooting positions, flash light use and much more. Course will also include Qualification.
Retired Law Enforcement Qualifications: $50.00
Semi Annual handgun qualification as prescribed by the Attorney General and D.O.J.
Customized courses are available for Security and Law Enforcement Agencies.
This course is designed for those who purchased the popular AR platform and would like to learn proper techniques to safely operate it effectively. course will include fundamental rifle skills, obtaining proper zero techniques, loading & unloading drills, magazine changing drills, trigger control drills, proper use of pouches, shooting positions and much more.
